As a Sports Therapist graduate, I am qualified to teach APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute) mat based pilates. This method of is pilates is used in orthopaedic settings – commonly recommended by the NHS for back pain patients. Pilates builds strength of the core muscles, increases flexibility, creates overall strength, improves posture and focuses the mind.

APPI Pilates was created by 2 physiotherapists who adapted the original Joseph Pilates methodology to make the pilates clinical in focus. Classes are small , (with the maximum permitted being 12) affording a real focus to each participant and modifications can be made dependent on any conditions needing move adaption. My classes are very educational in nature – you will learn a lot about the function of your muscles and nervous system.

Currently I run 7 classes a week for patients with beginner’s classes right the way through to advanced. Classes also include Child and Teenager, Ante-Post Natal and 1-to-1 classes.

All classes are on a monthly rolling cycle and are charged at £28 for a 4 week month (variable depending on the number of weeks in the month) and are held at St John’s Church Hall, Church Lane, Great Sutton and are multilevel. There are waiting lists for some classes but should you wish to attend a class please complete the attached from to register and an appointment will be made for you to come to clinic for a brief health assessment.
